Crystal Springs Uplands School

At Crystal Springs Uplands School, I wore many hats. Half the time, I was the computer science teacher for grades 6-10. I redesigned all the curriculum to get students excited about the possibilities computer science and data science create, relating it to news, games, and pop culture. Students rated a 19% increase in satisfaction with department offerings after I joined.

I was also the Experiential Education Coordinator. I re-piloted trip offerings after COVID restrictions eased up, and students were able to visit the Sierra Nevada, France, and Honduras for hands-on learning experiences. I also piloted the first Expo format for the school's senior capstone projects.

After school, I mentored the school's robotics team, FRC 4990. The team dove headfirst into the challenge set and placed in the top third of teams at the Silicon Valley Regional 2023.
